There’s a very special holiday coming up that will have tails wagging all over the country. August 10th is Spoil Your Dog Day! Of course, any day is a good day to spoil your dog. Treats
If there’s one thing all of our furry patients have in common, it’s a love of food. Treat Fido to some doggy ice cream, which you can find in many pet stores. You can also make your canine friend some snacks. There are plenty of recipes online! Just stick to foods that are safe for Fido.
Toys
Making sure that your furry pal has lots of toys is very important! Playing keeps Fido active, occupied, and (hopefully) out of mischief. Classic toys like rope toys are fine, but if you want extra tail wags, get your pooch a mechanical ball launcher or an automated laser pointer.
Kiddie Pool
The Dog Days of summer bring the hottest days of the year. If your furry buddy likes swimming, take him to a pet-friendly spot. Another option is to get Fido a kiddie pool to splash around in. Your pup may also enjoy just splashing around in the spray from a sprinkler or hose.
Playtime
Toys are great, but play sessions are even better. Indulge Fido with a few rounds of his favorite game. There’s nothing cuter than a frisky pup hard at play!
Adventure
Man’s Best Friend certainly loves to explore! Take a few hours to spend some quality time with your four-legged pal, and visit a pet-friendly park. Or, explore a new trail with your pooch.
Bed
One of the best ways to spoil your dog is to get him a comfy bed. Consider giving your pet’s sleeping spot a ‘pupgrade.’
Doghouse
Do you have a yard for your furry friend to run around in? If so, why not get your pooch a doghouse!
Quality Time
Dogs are very loyal and faithful, and really want nothing more than to hang out with their favorite humans. Spend some time just relaxing with Fido. Don’t skimp on those belly rubs, either!
